This Saturday, January 17th, the healthy market at the hospital in Fairfax will feature fresh collard greens grown by Mrs. Esther Manuel of Fairfax along with South Carolina-grown Jonagold apples by Chattooga Bell Orchards in the Upstate, fresh broccoli crowns, green cabbage, mustard greens, turnip greens, acorn squash, butternut squash and spaghetti squash all grown by Clayton Rawl Farms of the South Carolina Midlands, South Carolina Bell Honey Pint Jars, Yon Family Farms pecans from the Ridge along with pantry staples like sweet potatoes, onions, and carrots. Open every first and third Saturday 9am to 1pm outside under the green market umbrellas, at the Allendale County Hospital (1787 Allendale-Fairfax Highway in Fairfax), we'll see you soon!

Here we will make introductions to local farmers, local market vendors, and even the expanding abilities of using online grocery shopping for delivery in our area. As a Healthy Food Navigator, we'll thoughtfully help share news and updates of events, venues, and programs available in healthy food access-whether at our local farmers markets or even online!
